Canadian Profile

This is my character entry for 's DA Secret Wars, The Canadian. He is a second generation hero modeled after the original Canadian from WWII that I created a few years ago. [link]

BIO:
The Canadian Project was originally created by a brain trust of Canadian and Allied scientists in the early 1940's to help create the ultimate soldier. Nazi Germany was quickly taking most of Europe and the Allies needed a key weapon to fight back with. There was rumor of a "Super Soldier" that the Americans had created and the Canadians were right behind them with their Canadian Project.

The Canadian was born from this project and went on to have great success as a national hero until his body could not keep up with the pain and hardships put upon it. The original Canadian ended going insane and becoming The Revenger, [link]

It was decided by the Canadian government that the Canadian Project would be re-instated, but would be heavily regulated and controlled. They also wanted a Soldier, someone who knew how to take orders and understood the concept of mission first.

Sergeant Jack Wilson was one of the first volunteers, and the only successful candidate to emerge from the project. A soldier with over eight years experience, SGT Wilson joined the project from Third Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment, where he served in numerous operations in Afghanistan in the war against terrorism.

POWERS:
The Canadian has incredible strength and can lift nearly two thousand pounds above his head.

He is near invulnerable when it comes to impacts such as bullets and objects with mass, but is still vulnerable to heat and extreme temperatures.

A side effect of the Canadian Project was the ability to project lasers from SGT Wilson's eyes. None of the scientists in the Canadian Project can explain how or why the side powers were created, and are awaiting further testing.
